State of Jefferson
At their January 21, 2014 Board Meeting, the Glenn County Board of Supervisors adopted a Declaration and Petition to the California State Legislature for the withdrawal of Glenn County from the State of California and to form the State of Jefferson. Abnormal Groundwater Level Report
Please let us know if you are experiencing problems with your water well. The information will be used to help us in our eforts to understand groundwater conditions, drought effects, and future planning efforts. The Abnormal Groundwater Level Report can be filled out and returned to the County's Agricultural Department or the Sheriff's Office. Additionally, the information can be taken by phone.
Drought State of Emergency
Governor Brown has released a Proclamation declaring a Drought State of Emergency for California. The Governor’s Drought Proclamation recognizes the dry conditions in the Sacramento Valley and throughout California while providing flexibility and encouraging the creativity needed to manage water supplies for cities, farms, birds and fish. Validation of Broadband Availability Survey
The Public Utilities Commission is collecting information to validate the availability of broadband, or lack thereof, in our area. Please take a few minutes to complete the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Broadband Availability Public Feedback Survey , to assist the PUC in gathering and reporting Glenn County broadband availability data.

“Preservation of Glenn County Histor
The “Preservation of Glenn County History” project was created by the Historical Records Commission in memory of former member Gene Walker, for his dedication to the preservation and restoration of Glenn County history. Mr. Walker devoted many of his retired hours conducting research and inventory of various records of the County. The Commission created this project to raise funding that will allow the Commission’s efforts to continue to “foster and promote the preservation of historical records”, as stated in Resolution 85-71 adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
