2008-09 Grand Jury Report Now Available

On June 30th the new Grand Jury was impaneled by the Honorable Superior Court Judge, Donald Cole Byrd. Casey Lawler will be serving as Foreman for 2009-10. View the 2008-09 Grand Jury Final Report

July 9th Meeting in Orland with TANC concerning the TPP project has been CANCELLED

The Glenn County Board of Supervisors received word on July 2nd that all meetings regarding the TTP (TANC Transmission Project) with the Transmission Agency of Northern California, better known as TANC, have been cancelled until further notice.  See flyer for details. 

Alleviating Bird Nuisance

City and County work forces have joined efforts to move the birds out of the city limits: The County and City are seeking to obtain volunteers from the surrounding properties and from any citizens that have voiced complaints in the past. read full story

“Preservation of Glenn County Histor y” Project

The “Preservation of Glenn County History” project was created by the Historical Records Commission in memory of former member Gene Walker, for his dedication to the preservation and restoration of Glenn County history. Mr. Walker devoted many of his retired hours conducting research and inventory of various records of the County. The Commission created this project to raise funding that will allow the Commission’s efforts to continue to “foster and promote the preservation of historical records”, as stated in Resolution 85-71 adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
