Glenn County Child Abuse Treatment Program (CHAT)

The Glenn County Child Abuse Treatment Program (CHAT) Program funds direct client services including therapeutic treatment to all child victims of abuse and neglect, abduction, domestic, family, school and community violence regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion.

Approved family members may also receive services as an integral part of the child’s treatment plan. CHAT staff members provide immediate and on-going emotional support to clients as they work through loss, anger, sadness, and as they begin to reorganize their lives.

What is WINGS? 

The Glenn County Child Abuse Treatment Program (CHAT) funds direct services through WINGS, including therapeutic treatment, to all child victims of abuse and neglect, abduction, domestic violence, family violence, teen dating violence, school bullying, or community violence regarding race, ethnicity, or religion. Non offending family members may also receive services as an integral part of the child’s treatment.

WINGS/CHAT Specialists provide immediate and on-going emotional support to clients as they work through the abuse they have incurred and the solutions that will best serve them.

WINGS Supportive Services:

  • Assistance in Filing Crime Victim Compensation.
  • Provide Criminal Justice Advocacy and Support
  • Free Therapeutic Treatment for the child victims of abuse and violence under the age of 18, and their non-offending family members.
