Tobacco Education Program

The Tobacco Education Program, funded through the California Department of Public Health, exists to help improve the health of Glenn County's residents by working to reduce preventable, excess death and disease caused by tobacco use and exposure to second hand smoke.

The program educates and informs youth and community members about the negative health effects of tobacco and encourages smokers and chewers to access cessation services. The program also works to limit tobacco-promoting influences in the culture and to reduce availability of tobacco to youth and exposure to secondhand smoke in indoor and outdoor environments.
