Glenn County General Services applied for and was awarded a Housing and Community Development Block Grant that funded ADA improvements to the Chester Walker Memorial Library and Hamilton City Community Hall. Please see the synopsis of improvements below:
Chester Walker Memorial Library: Construct a new accessible parking space with a concrete walkway to access the existing front entrance, interior tenant alteration to replace two existing non-accessible restrooms to one accessible restroom, install a new egress door and add exit lighting.
Hamilton City Community Hall: Construct new accessible parking spaces with ramps to access the existing front and rear entrances, interior tenant alteration to locate a new warming kitchen, update three existing restrooms to be accessible, install a wheelchair lift to provide accessibility to the existing stage and add exit lighting.
