Welcome to the Agricultural Department

The Glenn County Agriculture Department is responsible for the implementation of Federal, State and local regulatory programs within Glenn County. These programs are designed to protect people and the environment and promote agriculture within the county. Some of the programs include pesticide enforcement, pest exclusion, pest detection, vertebrate pest management, nursery inspection, seed inspection, noxious pest control, fruit, vegetable and egg quality control and weights & measures. The Glenn County Agriculture Department also administers the Vegetation and Environment Management Program that keeps our road edges clean of vegetation which enhances safety at intersections and helps with the maintenance and protection of the pavement.
