The fees listed below are "per person" and not all fees are listed. If you do not see a specific fee please contact the Civil Division at (530) 934-6523.

  • Claim of Plaintiff $30.00 (MUST be received 3 weeks prior to court hearing date)
  • Claim of Defendant $30.00
  • 3, 30 or 60 Day Notice $30.00

  • Order to Show Cause $30.00 (MUST be received at least 20 days prior to court hearing date)
  • Notice of Motion $30.00

  • Writ of Possession $125.00 (Real Property Eviction/Possession)
  • Civil Bench Warrants $105.00

No fee is charged to serve a Temporary Restraining Order or a Harassment Order.

Letter of Instruction

A Letter of Instructions pertaining to the person(s) to be served should include: service address and/or employment information, physical description, vehicle information and any other information that will be useful in locating and serving the person(s) in a timely manner. This letter MUST be signed by the person requesting the service and MUST be included along with the appropriate **fee which MUST accompany the paperwork when it is brought or mailed to the Sheriff's Dept. Checks, money orders or cash is accepted. **Or a copy of a valid Fee Waiver from the Court.
