Safe Medication Disposal Now Available in Orland
Orland, CA – Glenn County Sheriff’s Office now has a safe medication disposal site available in Orland. The receptacle is located in front the Courthouse at 821 East South Street, Orland. This will provide a safe and secure way for our north county residents to dispose of unused and unwanted medications, including controlled substances, at any time.
This is the second medication disposal receptacle that Glenn County has acquired through a partnership with CVS and the Pharmacy Medication Disposal for Safer Communities program. Improper disposal of drugs and medications can lead to groundwater contamination, as well as unintended use and abuse. This program promotes overall community health and wellness and we are pleased to provide this service to the residents of Glenn County.
South county residents are reminded of the receptacle currently available in front of our main office located at 543 W. Oak Street, Willows.
