The CICC is the designated Child Abuse Prevention Council for Glenn County. This website is designed to contain valuable information about resources to support the needs of children and families to prevent incidents of child abuse in our county.

The Children's Interagency Coordinating Council can be that important partner for families, neighborhoods, and all communities of Glenn County. We hope that parents, educators, students, and community members find our website useful.

Child Abuse and Neglect

Child Abuse and neglect affects children of all ages, races and incomes. Any child may be victimized. With nearly 500,000 reports of child abuse made to Child Protective Services each year, California has among the highest numbers of child abuse and neglect reports in the nation. Children need protection because they are vulnerable and are often unable to speak for themselves.

To Report Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Hotlines

In Glenn County:

  • Dial 911- Child is in Imminent Danger (Life Threatening Emergency)
  • Call (530) 934-1429, Glenn County Child Welfare Services (CWS) if the abuse is occurring within the family or home or law enforcement if the suspected abuser is someone outside the family to make a verbal report immediately, or as soon as possible.
