*As COVID-19 testing labs increase and testing is extended to commercial labs, healthcare providers may order testing for ill patients directly through a commercial lab and are not required to go through Public Health. Because of this, we won't have an accurate count on how many  pending tests there are in Glenn County. Commercial labs are only required to report  positive test results to Public Health. Glenn County will provide data on confirmed cases, based on positive COVID-19 lab testing reports and pending cases that go through our contracted Public Health Lab or reported by labs.

Update March 13, 2020:

Map of California with Community Transmission of COVID-19 which includes the following counties: Yolo, Sacramento, Solano, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo.

Update March 12, 2020:

  • Glenn County continues to have no cases of COVID-19, however, community spread has occurred in the Sacramento region and other areas of California.

  • It is recommended that older adults and individuals with serious chronic conditions should take extra precautions to protect themselves from COVID-19. This includes avoiding gatherings of 10 people or more.

  • Mass gatherings, those of 250 or more, are discouraged for all persons due to the increased risk of spread of this disease. It is encouraged that event planners reschedule mass events, however, we understand that each individual should make the best decision for themselves on whether to continue attending larger, congregate events.

  • California Department of Public Health has provided guidance on mass gatherings that can be accessed here: CDPH Gathering Guidance
