The Glenn County Landfill will accept limited amounts of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
Influenza Vaccine Clinics will be held at the Glenn County Public Health office located at 240 N. Villa Ave in Willows on the following dates and times:
Tuesday November 27th from 9-11 AM
Tuesday December 4th from 9-10 AM
Tuesday December 11th from 9-11 AM
Tuesday December 18th from 9-11 AM
PEOPLE V. MCMILLEN, RYAN- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Penal Code section 667.5(b), Prior Prison Term, and Strike Prior. Defendant was previously convicted of felony violations of Penal Code section 666.5/10851(a), Vehicle Theft with a Prior Vehicle Theft, Penal Code section 496(a), Receiving Stolen Property over $950, Penal Code section 594(b)(1), Vandalism with Damage over $400, and Penal Code section 667.5(b), Prior Prison Term. Defendant was resentenced to 7 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Detectives Knight and Blair, Deputies Kelso, Martinez, Corbin, Jacinto, Lorenzo and Thompson, and Sgt. Holley and Orland Police Department Officers Branson and Roenspie.
The Glenn County Air Pollution Control District and the Glenn County Public Health Department are issuing this Air Pollution Advisory to notify the public of continued poor air quality conditions in Glenn County due to the recent smoke impact from the Camp Fire.

The Glenn County Landfill will be hosting Waste Tire Amnesty Events the first Saturday of each month starting in December 2018.
At the request of the Veteran's service groups County maintenance staff installed new red, white and blue lighting for Willows Memorial Hall.

PEOPLE V. BAILEY, BRANDON- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 211, Second Degree Robbery of CVS with a special allegation of 667(c)&(e)(1) and 1170.12, Prior Strike. Defendant was sentenced to 6 years state prison and ordered to pay $7,306.74 restitution. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officers Roenspie, Carmon, and Sgt. Vlach and Glenn County Sheriff's Department Deputies Zarate, Barnes, and Corbin.
