Other administrative and professional services needed may include building structures professional such as a building inspector for short durations, on an as needed basis. Interested parties should download and review the Request for Proposal package.

We received inquiries regarding our current fee structure and billing rates for plan review / building inspection.

Response: Building permit fees are based on project valuations. Project valuations are currently calculated from the ICBO March/April 2002 issue “Building Standards” table, plus adding 25%. However, we have recently adopted the Feb 2019 ICC Building Valuation Data table which goes into effect 07/05/2019. That table can be found here: https://www.iccsafe.org/wp-content/uploads/BVD-BSJ-FEB19-converted.pdf

Once a project valuation has been established, the building permit fees are calculated from the following scale:

$1.00 - $2,000 VALUATION = $23.50 PLUS $3.05 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $100

$2,001 - $25,000 VALUATION = $83.25 PLUS $14.00 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1000

$25,001 - $50,000 VALUATION = $401.35 PLUS $10.01 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1000

$50,001 - $100,000 VALUATION = $650.75 PLUS $7.00 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1000

$100,001 - $500,000 VALUATION = $993.75 PLUS $5.60 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1000

$500,001 - $1,000,000 VALUATION = $3,233.75 PLUS $4.75 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1000

$1,000,001 AND UP VALUATION = $5,608.75 PLUS $3.15 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1000

Plan review fees are currently 65% of building permit fees.

Currently, the County’s building services/ plan review consultant receives 70% of the plan review fee.

Glenn County will consider all fee structures outlined in proposals. Matching the current fee structure is not a requirement for proposals.
