LEAD COOK/KITCHEN MANAGER

4th St Café in Orland has “…an opening for a lead cook/kitchen manager. The right person will be someone with professional (non-fast food) cooking experience who takes pride in their work and skills, who is ready to help us build on our already great reputation. Here is what we are looking for: Someone with widespread food and cooking knowledge to train and teach kitchen staff in all positions. Ability to design and implement creative new menu items and specials that are consistent with our style, concept, and price point. Banquet cooking for up to 100 guests. Ability to maintain food quality, presentation, & sanitation standards. Experience maintaining food storage, inventory, and food cost containment. Attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Ability to organize and prioritize work in a busy kitchen. A communicator who can maintain our current (great) level of cooperation between FOH and BOH. Applicants must have minimum of 2 years experience in a (non fast-food) professional kitchen environment. Must have valid California Food Handler's License. Must be available for early mornings and weekends. (Most weeknights would be off, so nice job if you like to be home with your family in the evenings).
