WK is rapidly growing and seeking to expand our team with a

Apprentice Mechanic- Construction

who will assist our Construction Team in assembly, installation of equipment and machinery.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:

• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.

• Furnish experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.

• Make sub-assemblies and hangers as directed by the Installer.

• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.

• Provide assistance to operators on projects.

• Help set up tools and equipment.

• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and devices during installation

• Maintain good housekeeping and a safe work area.

• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

REQUIREMENTS:

• HS diploma, GED, or equivalent. .

• + 4 years’ experience in construction/industrial environment.

• Willingness to perform variety of tasks requiring limited trade knowledge to support skilled mechanics and foreman.

• Ability to work in environmental conditions that range from working outdoors during all seasons, indoor office environments, and utility plants.

• Ability to be attentive to surroundings conditions and dangers associated with each task.

• Ability to lift, move and handle 50lbs tools or materials.

• Ability to climb and work from ladders, aerial lifts, or scaffolding.

• Ability to work in tight spaces or uneven terrain.

• Valid Driver's License.

 

Industrial Mechanic - Machine Installation

to perform timely and accurate service in customer's plant, such as installation, repair, troubleshooting.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:

• Perform final assembly of machine, including fabrication of the mechanical and electrical components, as needed.

• Overhaul, and changeover to other bottle and label handling equipment.

• Effectively manage and plan work to accomplish all job tasks without having direct supervision on all matters.

• Supports team members to successfully complete projects.

• Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, sketches and plans.

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots and other PPE as required by specific jobs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years’ Technical Degree in the Applied Electrical/Mechanical Sciences is required, BSEE or BSME is preferred.

• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the required skills /experiences and a written test will be required

• Must be able to read electrical schematics and have knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC'S).

• Must be able to read and interpret machine schematics and electrical drawings.

• Solid working knowledge of mechanical machinery installations.

• Thorough understanding of production processes, fabrication, quality and safety standards for materials and production.

• Experience with simple testing equipment such as volt, ammeter, and ohmmeter.

Tool Coordinator - Construction

WK is rapidly growing and seeking to expand our team with a Tool Coordinator - Construction to perform timely and accurate service in customer's plant, such as installation, repair, troubleshooting. Worksite is in Willows.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE: 

• Perform manual activities directed by project foreman including; material loading/unloading/moving material such as sheet metal, piping, boxes, carts, trash, dollies, containers.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in an orderly condition, counting of physical inventory.

• Assist shipping and receiving, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.

• Move materials and items from receiving or container areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.

• File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.

• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

• Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

• Take direction from Foreman / Project Manager and other crew members on daily task.

• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

• Ensure container is accessible and safe for daily operation.

• Plan most efficient route for moving of material safely and effectively.

• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from Project Manager.

• Sweep, dust and mop, organize Container and work area for orderliness at all times.

• Wear the proper safety equipment.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must have knowledge of construction hand tool.

• Must have reliable transportation to travel to various jobsites.

• Must adhere to safety protocol.

• Must be able to learn to read, interpret and utilize blueprints.

• Must be able to use a variety of tools and measuring devices during this process.

• Must be qualified to wear a respirator.
