HHSA Consolidating Services

Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Continues Toward Consolidating Services

The Social Service Department located at building 604 E. Walker Street in Orland will be moving to a new location, 127 E. Walker Street. The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office in Orland will also be relocated to 127 E. Walker Street as well. The move will happen in the beginning of April.

The HHSA’s goal is to enhance our customer service experience. Combining services in a single location will allow families to maximize their time and reduce the need to travel to several different locations.

Located in Orland at 125 and 127 E. Walker Street, the Glenn Success Square will be housing the following HHSA departments: Social Services (the Social Services department will still be open in Willows), Community Development (including America’s Job Center of California and the Glenn Grows-Business Incubator), Women, Infants and Children (WIC), The Public Authority (which administers the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), the Public Guardian’s office and Public Health staff (including the teams working on the Oral Health Grant and the Tobacco Prevention Grant). HHSA’s move to Glenn Success Square will begin in April.

In addition to the HHSA moving, the Glenn County Office of Education (GCOE) has already set up shop next door, at 129 E. Walker Street, and they provide: The Glenn Adult Program (GAP), an approved testing center for GED, HiSET and Pearson VUE® certification and professional licensure exams to help adults complete or expand their education. GCOE GAP will provide a new Arts-Media-Entertainment course pathway as well and much more.

There will be an open house on the 28th of April for both the GCOE and HHSA. Please stop by and say hello.

If you have any questions regarding the move, please call:  530-934-1413.  An employee of the HHSA will be happy to guide you to the correct service/program and location.  Up-to-the-minute information regarding the move and the addresses where services and program information can be obtained can also be found at Link to Glenn County Website – please choose the department: “Health & Human Services”.
