PEOPLE V. MEDINA, ZULEMA- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 10851(a), Vehicle Theft, and a misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code section 23152(b), DUI with a Prior DUI. Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and probation was terminated. Defendant was sentenced to 4 years and 8 months in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from California Highway Patrol Officer Benfer, Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Owens and Rasmussen, and Orland Police Department Officers Fullmore and Roenspie.

PEOPLE V. HERNANDEZ, TOMAS- Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Health and Safety Code section 11377, Possession of Methamphetamine. Defendant was found in violation of Proposition 36 probation for the 3rd time and probation was terminated. Defendant was sentenced to 360 days in county jail.  The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Gibbs and Glenn County Probation Officer Permann.

PEOPLE V. LEON, ERIC- Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violations of Penal Code section 243(e)(1), Domestic Violence, and 273.6, Violating a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Defendant was sentenced to 360 days in county jail.  The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from OPD Officers Carmon, Cessna and Branson.

PEOPLE V. SMOCK, ALLEN- Defendant was convicted of two misdemeanor violations of Health and Safety Code section 11377, Possession of Methamphetamine, and two misdemeanor violations of Health and Safety Code Section 11364, Possession of a Methamphetamine Pipe. Defendant was found in violation of Proposition 36 probation for the 3rd time and probation was reinstated. Defendant was sentenced to 120  days in county jail and 3 years of formal probation.  The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Branson, Orland Police Department Officer Simpson and Glenn County Probation Officer Permann.

PEOPLE V. NUNEZ, ANTHONY- Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 243(e)(1), Domestic Violence.  Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 5th time and reinstated to probation. Defendant was sentenced to 90 days in county jail and 5 years of formal probation.  The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Garcia.

PEOPLE V. MENDEZ, MAYRA- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273a (a), Child Endangerment, and a misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code section 23152(b), DUI. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days in county jail, 4 years of formal probation, and 52 week child endangerment counseling. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from California Highway Patrol Officer Gilliam.
