AS HEARD IN COURT APRIL 20, 2018

PEOPLE V. MEDINA, ZULEMA- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 10851(a), Vehicle Theft, and a misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code section 23152(b), DUI with a Prior DUI. Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and probation was terminated. Defendant was sentenced to 4 years and 8 months in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from California Highway Patrol Officer Benfer, Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Owens and Rasmussen, and Orland Police Department Officers Fullmore and Roenspie.

AS HEARD IN COURT APRIL 13, 2018

PEOPLE V. NEEDHAM, EUGENE- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 2800.2, Evasion. Defendant previously convicted in Butte County for felony violations of Health and Safety code 11378, Possession of Drugs for Sale, and Penal Code section 530.5, Identity Theft. Defendant was sentenced on all three cases to 10 years and 4 months in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Lemmon. 

AS HEARD IN COURT APRIL 6, 2018

PEOPLE V. PASSERO, PETER- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 246.3, Negligent Discharge of a Firearm that Could Result in Death or Injury. Defendant was sentenced to 240 days county jail and 3 years formal probation.  The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon and Sergeant Johnson. 

AS HEARD IN COURT MARCH 23, 2018

PEOPLE V. CORRAL, DYLAN- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 23110(b), Throwing a Substance at a Vehicle on a Highway, and a prior Strike conviction. Defendant was sentenced to 6 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon, Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Owens, and Glenn County Sheriff's Office Correctional Deputy White. 

AS HEARD IN COURT MARCH 16, 2018

PEOPLE V. OLIVEIRA, JOSEPH-  Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 496d(a), Possession of a Stolen Motorcycle and a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 273.6, Violation of a Restraining Order. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 3rd time in a misdemeanor case for which probation is now permanently terminated. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years in state prison and a concurrent 2 years for the misdemeanor cases. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputies Barnes and Ramirez.

AS HEARD IN COURT MARCH 9, 2018

PEOPLE V. MESZAROS, GEORGE- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 4573(a), Bringing Methamphetamine into the Jail. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years in prison with 1 year in custody and 2 years on mandatory supervision. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from Orland Police Department Officers Simpson and Cessna. 

AS HEARD IN COURT MARCH 2, 2018

PEOPLE V. WILLS, CALEB- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(a), Corporal Injury on Cohabitant. Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(4), Assault Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury, was found in violation of probation, and probation was permanently revoked. Defendant was sentenced to 5 years in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Zarate.

AS HEARD IN COURT FEBRUARY 23, 2018

PEOPLE V. MCMILLEN, RYAN- Defendant was convicted of felony violations of Penal Code section 666.5/10851(a), Vehicle Theft with a Prior Vehicle Theft, Penal Code section 496(a), Receiving Stolen Property over $950, Penal Code section 594(b)(1), Vandalism with Damage over $400, and Penal Code section 667.5(b), Prior Prison Term. Defendant was sentenced to 6 years and 4 months in state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Harbarger with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Detectives Knight and Blair, Deputies Lorenzo and Thompson, and Sgt. Holley and Orland Police Department Officers Branson and Roenspie.
