AS HEARD IN COURT JULY 8, 2022
PEOPLE V. ROSHAWAN TROUPE - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 211, Second Degree Robbery of CVS with a Strike Prior. Defendant was sentenced to 4 years state prison. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officers Roenspie, Lowery, and Martindale.
Glenn County 4-H Youth Summer Camp openings still available!
There is still time to sign-up! Glenn County 4-H Camp is looking for youth to attend the 2022 youth summer camp on July 21-24, 2022 located at Camp Tehama, Mill Creek, CA. 4-H Members and their friends are invited! You do not have to be in 4-H to participate. Youth ages 9-13 years old (as of December 31, 2021) are invited to join in the fun. Activities include: tie-dye, discovery, arts and crafts, dancing, hiking, fishing, treasure hunts, archery, cooking, campfire stories and exploring the outdoors!

Vehicle Accident
Glenn County Sheriff Richard Warren was involved in a vehicle accident in Butte County on Sunday, June 26, 2022, while off duty. He is being treated for his injuries at an area hospital.

Glenn County OptumServe Site Closure and Local At-Home Test Kit Distribution
GLENN COUNTY, CA — Glenn County’s OptumServe Testing Site located at Orland Memorial Hall will be permanently closing on Thursday, June 30th at 11 AM. To ensure residents have timely and convenient access to testing after OptumServe’s closure, Glenn County Public Health is partnering with Tri Counties Community Action Partnership (TCCAP) to coordinate local test kit distribution. Beginning on Friday, July 1st TCCAP will be distributing at-home test kits to Glenn County residents by appointment.

PEOPLE V. HERLINDO DURAN PAREDES - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273.5(f)(2), Corporal Injury to Mother of Child with Prior Domestic Violence Conviction. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years state prison. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Fullmore.

GLENN COUNTY – On June 10, 2022 Glenn County Board of Supervisor, District 5, Ken Hahn, announced his resignation effective June 22, 2022. Supervisor Hahn is stepping down due to a planned relocation to Redding, CA to be closer to family and grandkids.
