DHCS is sharing the following information so that all involved in Medi-Cal are aware of a current risk to Medi-Cal members. DHCS has received reports nationwide, and in California and Glenn County, that scammers and bad actors contact Medi-Cal members and require a fee to apply for or renew their Medi-Cal. 

It is imperative that our Medi-Cal members know what messages from the county and state are legitimate and understand that Medi-Cal will never require payment in the application or renewal process.
