Glenn County is partnering with Waste Management to host a Free Community Clean Up Day at the Glenn County Transfer Station. Attached you will find flyers for the event. Posters, and newspaper ads will promote the event. Any additional promotion of these events would be appreciated.

Glenn County residents serviced by Waste Management will be able to dispose of household trash, scrap metal, green waste, mattresses, wood, and bulky waste for free at the Glenn County Transfer Station on Saturday, October 26, 2024, 8:00AM -12:00PM.

Acceptable Items:

  • Household trash (bagged or boxed, not loose)
  • Green Waste (separated from trash)
  • Scrap Metal (any motor needs to be free of gasoline or oil)
  • Wood (no treated wood, such as railroad ties)
  • Bulky Waste (unusable furniture, large items, etc.)
  • Mattresses box springs, and futon mattresses detached from frame or base accepted for recycling. LIMIT 4 UNITS PER VEHICLE
  • Appliances
  • E-Waste
  • Tires (9 maximum)

Items Not Accepted:

  • Concrete
  • Household Hazardous Waste (flammables, poisons, oil, paint, etc.)
  • Medical Waste and Needles

This is a self-disposal event. Residents will be responsible for unloading their own waste into waste bins. One standard size pick up load per customer
