GLENN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
PUBLIC NOTICE INTENT TO ALLOCATE TITLE III FUNDS
Notice is hereby given that the Glenn County Board of Supervisors will receive public comments on the proposed allocation of Title III funds to Carry Out Glenn County Community Wildfire Protection Plan County-Wide Project #9: Fire Hazard Reduction Coordination with Glenn County Public Works Department. The allocation is intended for fuels reduction along roads in areas with increased wildfire risks through.
In accordance with Section 7142 of 16 U.S.C., the Board of Supervisors will receive public input for no less than 45 days on the proposed use of these funds. The funds will support activities outlined by the Glenn County Community Wildfire Protection Plan, including fuel breaks and hazard tree removal in western Glenn County.
The total allocation proposed is $100,000.00, to be drawn from Title III funds under the reauthorization of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000. These funds will be used to further the objectives of reducing fire risks through effective vegetation management in western Glenn County.
The public is encouraged to provide feedback on this proposal. Comments will be accepted up until October 10, 2025. Please submit written comments by mail to the Glenn County Board of Supervisors Office, 525 West Sycamore Street, Willows, CA 95988. Specific program details, including the proposed budget and project description, are available for review at the Glenn County Clerk’s office or by request via [email protected].
Following the 45-day comment period, the Board of Supervisors will review public comments and take action on the Title III allocation at its October 28, 2025 meeting.
