Welcome to the October 2025 Concern newsletter.
This issue exposes the unseen damage caused by persistent inner criticism — and how self-compassion can help you shift the conversation in your head to one that builds you up instead of tearing you down.
Inside, you’ll learn why so many of us struggle to offer ourselves the same compassion we readily extend to others. You’ll also find practical tips to quiet destructive self-talk, celebrate small wins, and lean on your inner coach for encouragement. Together, these strategies can help lower stress, boost resilience, and bring more balance into everyday life.
The newsletters are attached as usual, but you can also access them by clicking the links below.
Tie-In Concern Benefits
If this month’s newsletter sparks ideas or motivation, but you aren’t sure how to begin, your Concern benefits can help!
We’re excited to share that OurRelationship officially launched on September 15! This online program (self-guided and coach-supported) is designed to help individuals and couples strengthen communication, resolve conflict, and deepen connections. Click here to learn more.
Coaching: Sometimes it helps to have a guide when you’re trying to change old patterns. Concern members get four free 30-minute telephone sessions per year with qualified coaches who can help you build confidence, strengthen relationships, and reach your personal or professional goals. Coaching sessions are convenient and tailored to your needs, whether you’re focusing on work, parenting, or personal growth.
Counseling: When negative self-talk feels overwhelming and our digital and self-help options aren’t enough, it can help to talk it through with a professional. Your Concern benefit includes free, confidential, short-term counseling for employees and family members, with available 24/7 — in person, by video, phone, chat, or text — to help you navigate stress, anxiety, or other challenges. With fast, confidential support like this, you don’t have to face your inner critic alone.
As always, you can find valuable learning tools like these newsletters, along with all the many services that Concern offers through our digital hub. After a simple intake, the hub offers a personalized mix of content and services—from counseling and coaching to work-life and guided mindfulness solutions—all curated to help you tackle life’s emotional ups and downs.
