PAROLE DENIED!

 

PEOPLE V. FRANCISCO MEDINA:  A parole hearing was conducted today from California State Prison, Corcoran for Inmate Francisco Medina. On October 28, 1999, Inmate Medina was 18 years old when he committed the life offense of Second Degree Murder by shooting and killing 19-year-old victim, Christopher Clark in Willows, CA. Inmate Medina was 19 years old when he was sentenced to 15 years to life.  Inmate Medina was 31 years old at his first parole hearing in 2013 when parole was previously denied. Since that parole hearing, he obtained a new felony conviction in 2017, Possession of Heroin in Prison, for an additional and consecutive two year sentence from Kings County. The Parole Board denied Inmate Medina's parole for 3 years, when he will be eligible for a hearing for a fifth time. The parole hearing was virtually attended by Assistant District Attorney Ruby Neumann, who opposed the parole on behalf of Glenn County as well as Mr. Christopher Clark's mother and Victim Witness Advocate Pinedo.  

 

PEOPLE V. RAFAEL RUVALCABA - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Firearm.  Defendant was sentenced to 4 years in State Prison. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Deputy Alves and Sergeants Draper and Felton. 

PEOPLE V. ALEX MIRANDA - Defendant was convicted of two felony violations of Penal Code section 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Firearm.  Defendant was sentenced to 16 months in prison to be served consecutively with the Colusa County two year prison sentence. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Deputies Ramirez and Cordova.

PEOPLE V. CHEYENNE HEAVRIN - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 4573.8, Brining Drugs to Jail.  Defendant was sentenced to 180 days jail, 2 years probation and ordered to complete drug court. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Draper.

PEOPLE V. FERNANDO MONTALVO - Defendant was convicted of a felony violations of Penal Code sections 236, False Imprisonment and 594, Vandalism.  Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail, 3 years probation and 52 weeks of Batterers Treatment Classes. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Tuma.

PEOPLE V. JULIA LANGWORTHY - Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violations of Penal Code sections 4573.8, Bringing Drugs into Jail, 1320(b), Failure to Appear and Vehicle Section 10851, Automobile Theft.  Defendant was found in violation of her probation for the 3rd time and was sentenced to 120 days jail and ordered to complete a six month rehab program. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Van Eck.

PEOPLE V. KRISHNAKANT RAMDAS - Defendant was found in violation of felony probation of previous convictions of Penal Code sections 212.5(a),Second Degree Robbery, 21810, Possession of Metal Knuckles and misdemeanor Automobile Theft and 484/490.2, Petty Theft and was found in violation of probation. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail and probation was reinstated.

PEOPLE V.MICHAEL RANGEL RODRIGUEZ  - Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 21810, Possession of Metal Knuckles and a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code Section 242/243(e)(1), Domestic Battery. Defendant was found in violation of his probation for the 4th time and was sentenced to 84 days jail. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Van Eck.
