The Department of Finance is proud to announce that the office is officially reopened to the public. The Director of Finance strongly encourages taxpayers to use alternative means to make payments (listed below) but understands that some taxpayers require in-person assistance. It is also strongly encouraged to call or email the Tax Collector’s office if you have property tax questions (contact information below). If you are unable to reach the Tax Collector’s office by phone, please leave a voice mail. All messages will be returned.
Safety Procedures and Policies
The Tax Collector has implemented several new safety policies to reduce the risk and spread of COVID-19.
• All taxpayers are required to properly wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth.
• Taxpayers must observe social distancing.
• Only four taxpayers can be in the main lobby at the same time.
• One member of each party will be helped at a time. Additional members will be asked to wait outside, unique situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Tax Dropbox Option
Check payments are encouraged to be dropped off in the tax dropbox located in the hallway opposite to the Tax Collector’s office entrance.
Payment Receipt
Please return the entire bill with your payment and a stamped self-addressed envelope if you desire a payment receipt.
Property Tax Deadline
The final day to pay property taxes for the first installment is Thursday, December 10th, 2020 by 5:00 PM. US Mail is accepted after the deadline if postmarked on or before December 10th, 2020.
