Food Bank Assistance

The Food Bank provides food to low-income Glenn County residents. The food is distributed based on family size and on what makes a nutritionally-balanced diet. Recipients of food bank services must be Glenn County residents. There may be limits on the maximum number of times per year food may be obtained, and/or on the minimum number of days between each time recipients are served.

Food Bank Hours

Willows
Mondays from 9:00am-11:00am.

Food Bank assistance in Willows is located at 543 W. First Avenue and is provided by the Adventist Community Service group at the Willows Adventist Church. 

Orland

Mondays from 10am - Noon and Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00pm.

Food Bank assistance in Orland is located at 19 Colusa Street and is provided by the Orland Pantry at the First Lutheran Church. The Orland Pantry provides food assistance to residents of Orland, Capay, Artois, and Hamilton City. 

Homeless/ Motel Voucher Assistance (funding extremely limited)

Assistance under this program is dependent upon funding availability, and the funding for this program comes from a variety of sources. To be eligible for services under this program a client must meet definition of homeless and have photo identification. Clients may receive services under this program once in a two-year period.

Rental Assistance and Eviction Prevention

Rental assistance and eviction prevention programs is available, dependent upon funding availability. To be eligible for services under this program a client must meet income guidelines, have an eviction notice, and present photo identification. Clients must be able to demonstrate the ability to continue rental obligation.

Special Needs Assistance

Special needs assistance program is available from funds provided by United Way; funds vary, therefore, assistance is not always available. Types of assistance available under this program include clothing vouchers, hygiene products, baby items, transportation assistance, bus passes, etc. To be eligible for services under this program, a client must meet income guidelines and present photo identification.
