In the Solid Waste Program we are responsible for protecting public health and the environment from the potential adverse health and environmental impacts associated with waste and garbage disposal. We carry out this responsibility as the Local Enforcement Agency by reviewing permits and regulating solid waste facilities for compliance with State and Local regulations. In addition, we investigate complaints to insure proper handling and disposal of solid waste.
