PEOPLE v. SANTIAGO GONZALEZ- Defendant was convicted by a jury of 3 felony counts in violation of Penal Code sections 664/189, Attempted Murder by Destructive Device, 3 counts of 18745, Explode Destructive Device with Intent to Murder, 3 special allegations of 12022(b)(1), Use of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, 451(d), Arson of Property of Another, 18740, Explode Destructive Device with Intent to Injure, and 12022.1, Committing a Felony while Out On Bail. This incident occurred on September 28, 2017 at the Cedar Hills Apartment Complex in Willows when Defendant threw a Molotov Cocktail bomb at an occupied apartment complex with 3 people inside, setting the apartments on fire. The Defendant was sentenced to THREE LIFE TERMS PLUS 5 YEARS, in state prison which means he will not be eligible for parole until serving 26 years in prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Lemmon, and Detective Knight, CHP Officer Cushman, and Willows Fire Department Chief Peabody.

 

PEOPLE V. DANIELS, DIANA- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 273a(a), Child Endangerment. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 7th time. Defendant’s probation was terminated and she was sentenced to 4 years state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Permann.

 

PEOPLE V. SANCHEZ, JESENIA- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 4th time. Defendant’s probation was terminated and she was sentenced to to 3 years 8 months state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Permann.

 

PEOPLE V. MOORE, KELLY- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 664/459, Attempted Second Degree Burglary and a Strike Prior. Defendant was sentenced to 2 years state prison. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Cessna.

 

PEOPLE V. JACOBSON, LEO- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 4463(a), False Registration. Defendant was sentenced to 3 years prison, serving 180 days in county prison and 2 years and 6 months on mandatory supervision. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon.

 

PEOPLE V. PUENTE, REYNA- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Defendant was found in violation of probation after a hearing for the 4th and 5th time. Defendant’s probation was reinstated and Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail. The case was prosecuted by DDA Neumann with assistance from CHP Officer Williams and Glenn County Probation Department Officer Perry.

 

PEOPLE V. ACOSTA, ALEXANDRIA- Defendant was previously convicted of misdemeanor violation of Penal Code sections 273a(b), Child Endagerment, 166(a)(4), Contempt of Court, and 22210, Possession of Illegal Weapon. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 1st time. Defendant’s probation was reinstated and Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Ortiz.

 

PEOPLE V. SPRINGER, DUSTIN- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 459(a), Second Degree Burglary. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 2nd  time. Defendant’s probation was reinstated and Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Permann.

 

PEOPLE v. MCGILL, NATHAN - Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 261.5(c), Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code sections 23152(b), DUI over 0.8% BAC. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 5th time. Defendant was sentenced to 79 days jail and probation was reinstated. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Department Sergeant Johnson and Glenn County Probation Department Officer Permann.

 

PEOPLE V. GEARY, SHERRY- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 368(b)(1), Elder Abuse. Defendant was found in violation of probation for the 4th time. Defendant’s probation was reinstated and Defendant was sentenced to 60 days in county jail. The case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Department Officer Permann.
