PEOPLE V. GURULE, TIMOTHY- On May 19, 2018. Defendant was hanging out in the garage of Victim' A.B.'s home when Defendant attacked the victim with a hammer, striking him in the head. A.B. is over 70 years old and ended up in the hospital in critical condition with serious injuries. The Defendant then stole the A.B.'s truck and fled. Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 664/187(a), Attempted Murder, Vehicle Code section 10851(a), Automobile Theft, and a prior Strike. Defendant was sentenced to 15 years 4 months state prison. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputies Zarate and Corbin.

The Glenn County Board of Supervisors will conduct a Public Hearing to solicit community input on the 2020/2021 Community Action Plan (CAP Plan) on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 9:15 am, or as soon thereafter as business of the Board will allow, at the Glenn County Board of Supervisors' Chambers located at 525 W. Sycamore Street, Willows, CA, 95988.
The Glenn County Community Action Department, the administrative entity of the Colusa-Glenn-Trinity Community Action Partnership, on behalf of the counties of Colusa, Glenn, and Trinity, is in process of submitting a Community Action Plan (CAP Plan) for the 2020/2021 program years. The CAP Plan identifies top priorities, based on community and agency input regarding service needs and gaps in the three counties, and it guides service development and delivery for the next two years.

GLENN COUNTY, Calif. – Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency Public Health Department is investigating one confirmed case of measles in an adult. This case is linked to the measles outbreak in Butte County. The Health Department disease investigators have notified close contacts and are working with Butte and Mendocino Public Health departments as the public exposure locations identified are in those two counties.

On May 7, 2019, Inmate Steve Burdell Currier was denied parole! He will serve an additional 3 years before parole will be considered again. Deputy District Attorney Coffey wrote a letter to the California Board Of Parole Hearings voicing Glenn County’s opposition to his parole from California Medical Facility-Vacaville. Vacaville Medical Facility has previously housed other notorious California inmates such as Charles Manson, Richard Allen Davis, and Juan Corona.
The purpose of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) public hearing is to share with
the community the feedback received from the community stakeholder input during the 30
day public comment period from May 13, 2019 through June 11, 2019. The public hearing
provides a structured process that the county uses in partnership with stakeholders in
determining how best to utilize funds that become available for the MHSA components.
