PEOPLE V.  GURULE, TIMOTHY- On May 19, 2018. Defendant was hanging out in the garage of Victim' A.B.'s home when Defendant attacked the victim with a hammer, striking him in the head. A.B. is over 70 years old and ended up in the hospital in critical condition with serious injuries. The Defendant then stole the A.B.'s truck and fled. Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 664/187(a), Attempted Murder, Vehicle Code section 10851(a), Automobile Theft, and a prior Strike. Defendant was sentenced to 15 years 4 months state prison. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputies Zarate and Corbin.

 

PEOPLE V. HERNANDEZ-MARTINEZ, JORGE- Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code sections 530.5(c)(3), Identity Theft of over 10 People, and misdemeanor violations of 530.5(e), Mail Theft and 470(d)/473(b), Forgery of a Check Under $950. Defendant was sentenced to 360 days jail, drug court, and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputies Ayres, Draper, Alves, and McIntyre, Sergeant Gibbs, and Detective Knight, and Glenn County Probation Department Deputy Perry.

PEOPLE V. SHOUMOUNEJAD, DESIRAE- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 459, First Degree Burglary and was found in violation of probation for the 2nd time. Defendant was sentenced to 320 days jail and probation was reinstated. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Office Deputy Permann.

PEOPLE V. HOOVER, CHERI- Defendant was convicted of felony violation of Penal Code section 243.1, Battery on a Custodial Officer. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail and 3 years formal probation. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Department Office Deputies Cervantes and Sheldon.

PEOPLE V. KANGMEUANG, LATSAMY- Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Health and Safety Code section 11364(a), Possession of Methamphetamine Pipe. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Lopeteguy and Glenn County Probation Office Deputy Perry.

PEOPLE V. COLBERT, CHRISTOPHER- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 470(d), Forgery. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days jail and probation was reinstated. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Office Deputy Permann.

PEOPLE V. PARADES, HERLINDO- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code sections 422(a), Criminal Threats and misdemeanor 243(e)(1), Domestic Battery and was found in violation of probation for the 1st time. Defendant was sentenced to 90 days jail and probation was reinstated. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Andrade and Glenn County Probation Office Deputy Ortiz.

WAHLBORG, KELLY- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 20001(a)/20001(b)(1), Hit and Run with Injury and was found in violation of probation for the 1st time. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Neumann with assistance from Glenn County Probation Office Deputy Perry.

PEOPLE V. MARTINEZ, JOSE- Defendant was convicted of misdemeanor violations of Penal Code section 273a(a), Child Endangerment, 22210, Possession of Billy Club, and Health and Safety Code section 11377(a), Possession of Methamphetamine. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days jail and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Department Officer Carmon.

PEOPLE V. SANCHEZ, LUIS- Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code sections 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon and 594(b)(1), Vandalism Over $400 and was found in violation for the 3rd time. Defendant was sentenced to 60 days jail. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Office Deputy Ortiz.
