PEOPLE V. CAMARENA, JOE - Defendant was convicted of FIVE felony violation of Penal Code section 496(a), Receiving Stolen Property including 2 Nut Carts, 2 Harvesters, and 2 Tractors in the amount of $207,355 belonging to Capay Farms. Defendant was sentenced to a consecutive 360 days jail, 3 years’ probation, and restitution to be reserved and determined at a later date. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Detectives Blair and Knight, Deputies Alves and Draper, and Tehama County Sheriff's Office Deputy Smith.

PEOPLE V. LEE, ADRIAN - Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 594 vandalism defendant was previously convicted twice of 14601.2 Driving with a suspended license for DUI, on which he was found in violation of probation on both cases. Defendant was sentenced to 270 days jail, and 3 years’ probation. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Officer Carmon.

PEOPLE V. BROWN, ANNA - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 245(a)(1), Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Defendant was sentenced to 240 days jail, and 3 years’ probation. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Lourenzo.

PEOPLE V. SHOOP, LUCAS - Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code Section 10851 Auto Theft and misdemeanor violation of 242/243(e)(1) Domestic Battery and found in violation of probation for the 4th time. Defendant was sentenced to 140 days jail, and 3 years’ probation. This case was prosecuted by DDA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officers Permann and Ortiz.

PEOPLE V. MARTIN, NERY - Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 368(e)(1), Theft from an Elder over $950. Defendant was sentenced to a consecutive 90 days jail, restitution in the amount of $14,400, and 3 years probation. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff's Office Deputy Lemmon.

PAROLE DENIED!
Gary Lewis Cooper was denied parole on January 10,2010 following a hearing held at San Quentin. Cooper will serve an additional year before a new parole hearing is held. In 1993, Cooper along with others shot and killed Filberto Mendoza over a drug debt. The hearing was attended by District Attorney Dwayne Stewart on behalf of the people of Glenn County.
