Glenn County Board of Supervisors Appoint Mardy Thomas as the New Director of Planning and Community Development Services

At the May 3, 2022 Glenn County Board of Supervisors meeting, Mardy Thomas was appointed as the new Director of Planning and Community Development Services effective May 4, 2022. The Director of Planning and Community Development Services position is responsible for the direction and administration of the functions of permitting, planning, development, building inspection and building services; and to serve as the County’s Planning Director as established in the County Code.
Mr. Thomas’ professional background includes serving the citizens of Glenn County for the past 22 years in various planning capacities within the Planning and Community Services Development Department. Most recently, Mr. Thomas served as the Principal Planner/Planning Manager.
Mr. Thomas is a graduate of California State University, Chico and possesses certificates in Geographic Information System (GIS) Training from California State University, Chico and Transit Paratransit Management from University of the Pacific.
