Willows, CA – Wednesday July 17, 2019, The Glenn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism that occurred at the Walden Academy in Willows, CA. Walden Academy is a Kindergarten through 8th grade public charter school located on property belonging to St. Monica’s Catholic Church. The vandalism to the Walden Academy occurred sometime between Friday, July 12th and Monday, July 17th. Vandals broke into several buildings including a classroom, storage room and restrooms. The items that were damaged included several broken windows, toilets, sinks and other miscellaneous items. The vandals painted on the interior and exterior walls of the buildings. The word, “Free Tay-k” was written in paint on one of the walls. Sheriff’s Office officials estimated there to be at least $5,000.00 worth of damages.

 

The Glenn County Sheriff’s Office is asking any members of the community who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, over the weekend, to contact the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office.
