HAMILTON CITY LIBRARY AND COMMUNITY HALL

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Upgrades

Glenn County General Services got a special grant. They will use it to improve the Chester Walker Memorial Library and Hamilton City Community Hall. These upgrades aim to improve accessibility. Here’s what’s being updated:

Chester Walker Memorial Library

  • Adding a new accessible parking space and a concrete walkway to the entrance.
  • Changing two restrooms into one accessible restroom.
  • Installing a new exit door with better lighting for safety.

Hamilton City Community Hall

  • Building new accessible parking spaces with ramps to both entrances.
  • Moving and upgrading the kitchen area.
  • Updating three restrooms to be accessible.
  • Installing a wheelchair lift for the stage.
  • Adding exit lighting for safety.

These changes will help everyone, including people with disabilities, use and enjoy these buildings. For more information on the updates completed, please see:
