California Children Services (CCS)
California Children Services (CCS) provides medical care and rehabilitation for children up to age 21 who have a serious qualifying medical condition. The program assists children and families in obtaining the specialized pediatric medical care authorized by CCS.
California Oral Health Program
The Oral Health Program works to provide education, prevention, linkages to treatment programs, case management and surveillance within the county. Focus is on the oral health needs of underserved areas and populations.
Child Health & Disability Prevention (CHDP)
Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) is a program which provides well-child medical check-ups for children. County CHDP staff reviews all exam results and assists parents in getting treatment for identified problems. You may contact the program at (530) 934-6588 or (800) 655-5418.
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP)
Lead poisoning prevention and education provides outreach and education about lead to targeted groups. Public health nursing case management to lead burdened children and their families in conjunction with environmental health field investigations are available through this program.

Clinic services provided by Public Health include immunizations (flu only).
Communicable Disease
Communicable Disease investigates communicable disease reports and provides treatment, referrals and contact investigations. The program provides outreach and education in all disease related areas to groups and individuals.
Environmental Health
Environmental Health Services Include: Disaster Sanitation, Food Inspection, Proposition 65, Housing and Institutions, Rabies Control, Vector Control, Pools and Spas, Sewage Disposal, Solid Waste, Water Wells and Monitoring Wells.
Family Planning Clinic
Public Health offers free pregnancy testing - See Schedule. Planned Parenthood - Shasta Pacific provides other family planning services in Chico. Call (530) 342-8367 for an appointment.
Immunization Program

MCAH/Pregnant and Parenting Teens Programs
Maternal Child Adolescent Health coordinates programs for women of childbearing years and children 0 to 18 years of age. The program provides direct services such as home visits and outreach, education and referrals. You may contact the program at (530) 934-6588 or (800) 655-5418.
Mosquito and Vector Control
Mosquito and Vector Control utilizes abatement methods to reduce nuisance mosquito populations and lower the threat of mosquito-borne diseases.
Tobacco Education
The Glenn County Tobacco Education Program strives to improve the health of our residents by working to reduce preventable death and disease caused by tobacco and strives to reduce exposure to second hand smoke.
Women, Infant & Children Program (WIC)
WIC is a supplement food program for pregnant women, breastfeeding women with infants under 1 year, infants, and children to 5 years. Nutrition counseling, breastfeeding assistance and referrals provided. Contact WIC for an appointment at (530) 865-8791
