Revised Colusa Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (2024)

On October 26, 2023, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) determined the Colusa Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) to be “incomplete” The Groundwater Sustainability Agencies have 180 days to address the deficiencies and resubmit the GSP for evaluation no later than April 23, 2024. 

The determination letter, initial GSP, annual reports, and related information can be found on DWR's SGMA Portal at: https://sgma.water.ca.gov/portal/#intro

A public hearing to receive comments on the Draft Revised Colusa Subbasin GSP will be held April 19, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Glenn County Planning and Community Development Services Agency located at 225 N. Tehama St., Willows, CA 95988.  Following the public hearing, the Glenn Groundwater Authority GSA will consider adoption of the Revised Plan.  Please see the agenda and meeting materials for additional information.

2024/2025 Community Needs Assessment and Community Action Plan Final

The Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) has developed the 2024/2025 Community Needs Assessment (CNA) and Community Action Plan (CAP) template for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Service Providers network. The CAP supported by the CNA is a two-year plan that shows how agencies will deliver CSBG services. CSBG funds are, by their nature, designed to be flexible. They shall be used to support activities that increase the capacity of low-income families and individuals to become self-sufficient. This is the final version of the 24-25 Community Action CAP Plan.

Colusa Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan Draft Chapters 5-6

On behalf of the Colusa Groundwater Authority (CGA) and Glenn Groundwater Authority (GGA), we are pleased to offer an opportunity to review initial content for several chapters of the pending Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Colusa Subbasin.  The chapters can be found at the following link:

The GSP is being prepared as a requirement of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act of 2014 (amended 2015). Available at the link above for your review are the following initial GSP chapters in “pdf” format:

  • Chapter 5 – Sustainable Management Criteria
  • Chapter 6 – Projects and Management Actions
  • Appendices 5A-5C
  • Appendices 6A-6D

Please note that this review period is not a formal review for the entire GSP. That will come in approximately September. This initial review period ends at midnight on August 13, 2021 so please respond in a timely manner.

Your input is very important to us. To ensure we have an accurate and consistent account of all comments, we have prepared a standardized comment submission approach.

CGTCAP Community Action Plan 2024/2025

The Glenn County Community Action Department, the administrative entity of the Colusa-Glenn-Trinity Community Action Partnership and, on behalf of the Counties of Colusa, Glenn, and Trinity, is in process of submitting an updated Community Action Plan (CAP Plan) for the 2024/2025 program years.  The CAP Plan guides service development and delivery for the next two years, based on community and agency input regarding service needs and gaps in the three counties.  We are seeking community input. the Glenn County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 9:05 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the board will allow, at the Glenn County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers, 525 W. Sycamore Street, Willows, California to discuss the Community Action Plan 2022/2023 to address the community priorities of Colusa, Glenn, and Trinity Counties. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you may direct written comments to the Glenn County Community Action Department, 345 Yolo Street, Orland, CA 95963.
