Public Guardian/Public Conservator Program
Changes are coming to Medi-Cal programs for older and disabled people, making it possible for more people to get Medi-Cal coverage. California residents who are 50 years of age or older and who meet all Medi-Cal eligibility criteria will be able to get full-scope Medi-Cal, and immigration status does not matter. Other people will get to keep more property (like money in checking or savings accounts) while staying on Medi-Cal.
