Please call ahead of your visit to learn how we are available to help you.  The doors are closed to the public currently, but you are welcome to drop by the office and we will meet you outside.  A table and shade tent have been set up or you can remain in your vehicle and we will come out to you.   Please know, all of our services are operational, but we have changed some processes.  Items can be left in the secure drop box, located to the left of the front door, payments are accepted and receipts will be mailed.  You are invited to email the department at agcommr@countyofglenn.net or call 530-934-6501.

ASSESSOR / CLERK-RECORDER / ELECTIONS

Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Elections Office will not be able to provide services for walk-in customers until further notice.

• Birth, Death, and Marriage Records

Requests for vital records (birth, death, and marriage records) submitted online through the Vitalchek service, as well as requests through the mail will be processed. Completed requests will be sent through the US mail.

• Business Filings, Official Record Purchases

Business filings and official records (purchase of copies) will not be available. However, filings or requests submitted through the mail will be processed. Completed filings or requests will be sent through the US mail.

You are strongly encouraged to listen to the live audio stream of the Board of Supervisors meetings at Online Minutes & Agendas with live meeting audio. If you wish to make a comment on a specific agenda item, please submit your comment directly into the agenda using our SpeakUP commenting tools.  You may also submit comments or questions via email to gcboard@countyofglenn.net. If your comment is related to a posted agenda be sure to get your comments in by 5:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the Board meeting. Your comment(s) will be placed into the record at the Board meeting. If you are listening to the audio live stream of the Board meeting and wish to make either a general public comment or to comment on a specific agenda item as it is being heard, please submit your comment, limited to 250 words or less, to the Clerk of the Board at gcboard@countyofglenn.net. Every effort will be made to read your comment into the record, but some comments may not be read due to time limitations. CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES

Glenn County Community Action Department (CAD) is taking every precaution to keep our community safe and contain the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Offices are open by appointment only.  Please contact the staff during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm) at the following phone numbers:

COOPERATIVE EXTENTION

UC Cooperative Extension is currently closed to the public, but we are still working! Our Community Education Specialists and Advisors are working remotely and are available via email, mobile phone, zoom and other virtual communications technologies. DISTRICT ATTORNEY

Our office is still open for County business but the doors will be locked to outside visitors.  As you are making your rounds delivering items to our office, please either call or email us and someone will meet you at the door. We can be reached at (530)934-6525. 

FINANCE

We are fully open with no appointments required. We published the attached public notice in mid-November. We are asking the public to follow CDC COVID-19 safety guidelines including some of the following items we explicitly mentioned in the publication.

• All persons entering the office are required to properly wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth
• All persons entering the office must observe social distancing
• Only four persons are allowed in the lobby at the same time

Alternative methods to pay property taxes, such as mailing in payments, using our online payment portal (www.countyofglenn.net) or the automated phone line (877-470-6240) are encouraged.

We take the safety of our staff and the public very seriously.  During this unprecedented time we are taking extra precautions to sanitize and disinfect the staff and public areas in and around our County’s Buildings, and other public areas like park/public restrooms, picnic tables and seating, boat launch restrooms, and lobbies.  Vehicles are also being treated before and after service with special attention to door handles, steering wheels, gear shifts, etc.

Planning Division

In person services are suspended until further notice. Building permit inquiries, applications, and plans may be submitted electronically via Email. Environmental Health Permits shall be submitted via Email, Postal Service or Drop off Box. During this time, fees collected will be limited to Check (mailed with application) or Credit Card payment over the phone. Planning Projects shall not be submitted in person. All new Planning Projects shall be submitted via, Email, Postal Service or in the Drop off Box located outside the PCDSA office at 225 N. Tehama Street. During this time, fees collected will be limited to Check (mailed with application) or Credit Card payment over the phone.

PROBATION

Lobby is open from 9:15 AM to 5 PM. Testing administered between 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM.  Call in advance with any questions.

Office lobby is OPEN to all for in-person services. Concealed Carry Weapons services remain to be done by appointment only.
