Emergency Alerts

We have changed emergency alert systems due to a nationwide outage affecting the CodeRED platform. Glenn County has moved onto the Rave-Smart911 alert system, now called Glenn Alerts.

As of 12/9/25, Glenn County Sheriff's Office has moved onto the Rave-Smart911 emergency alert platform. Our office is working with both Rave and CodeRed to move all of the resident contact information across to the new alerting system. Phone numbers have been uploaded, however, emails will be added at a later date and will require resident confirmation. We will notify the public when emails are migrated to the system and to watch for a confirmation email. We tentatively plan to do this in February 2026.

Information on CodeRED Outage - Update Information 11/25/25 on Outage

The old CodeRED system has been disabled, the public is unable to access a user account on the old CodeRED system. Glenn County Sheriff's Office - OES has moved onto the Rave-Smart911 system, now called Glenn Alerts.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for Glenn Alerts by Rave-Smart911 and for Community Alerts for Nixle (below) which will be used as a secondary alert system as well as for low level community alerts.

Nixle is our secondary alerting system. It can send mass text and emails to the public with important information such as major road closures, community events, or act as backup to our emergency alert system. Signing up is easy!
